Jessica & Ian
Jessica and Ian are two sweethearts who met at a Camp Cavell summer camp while helping those with disabilities. They are a fairytale kind of couple whose hearts radiate such a loving energy. The vibe of the day was as ethereal and romantic as it was creative. I love that Jessica and Ian were on their own time, they didn’t rush anything and every moment had so much meaning.
Ian placed a blue bracelet that he made on Jessica’s wrist the first year they were together, and he removed it during their wedding ceremony. The bond of love, Ian’s heritage kilt, the bare cake made by the bestie at Gumption Cake Co, the decor of vines that Jessica cut from the woods and created wreaths with…and their personal favorite…Serious Moonlight - A David Bowie cover band for the entertainment. Jessica and Ian had their first dance to As The World Falls Down. If you are a David Bowie fan, and know The Labyrinth movie from the 80’s, you understand the vibe of the day and wish you were there. It was just magical.
Savannah & Kelly
To describe this dramatic, overcast, and slightly rainy day in words for Savannah and Kelly is a little hard to do, so I’ll let the photos do the talking with a few details from me :)
Kelly and Savannah are two adventurous and incredibly sweet ladies, who love so much. The detail of the wedding day and their care for their family and friends still warms my heart.
Getting ready happened at Embassy Suites, and the first look was outside of the gardens where Momma DeMil set up our brides while the wedding party made a human wall so Kelly and Savannah wouldn’t see each other.
The ladies incorporated their sweet pup Ginger into the family photos, we took a few portraits in Meadow Brook Hall and had the ceremony inside because we were rained out of the garden. Once the rain let up, we went back out to the gardens and around the Meadow Brook grounds to capture the love and beauty.
There were dances with both sets of parents and lots of love and laugher on the dance floor to complete the joy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Reminder, we will always make magic even on the rainy days <3

Sarah & Ryan
Two incredible humans, who love deeply and laugh a ton together. Our entire day at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms was full of tears, happy tears. The attention to detail was exquisite. The hand selected flowers by Sarah from University Flowers in Ann Arbor was spectacular. The details on Ryan’s suit and cufflinks, Sarah’s bouquet which wrapped their furry family into their day, little details like this made everything so sweet.
We did our first look by the gardens, family photos by the farmhouse, and our colorful Wedding Party photos in the morning before the ceremony.
From the sweetest walk down the aisle with Dad, Scott, who was also our officiant, and the heartfelt vows and dip with a kiss mid-aisle, these two were ready to celebrate with their closest family and fiends! Our mid-aisle kiss was also the subject of our live wedding painter Mikaela Genee!
Cocktail hour was a highlight as the miniature goats were brought out and loved on! The we moved to the grand entrance followed by speeches, cake cutting, unforgettable sunset photos in the dahlia field, and our Rolls Royce appearance.
After sundown the party was just getting started! The dance floor was flexing on the 2nd floor of the barn, and Sarah and Ryan experienced not only their first dance as husband and wife, but also shared a last dance on their dance floor before the sparkler exit and drive off in the Rolls Royce..it was magical.
A huge thank You to the amazing team!

This day. These two families. These two beautiful humans. The gorgeous riverside St. Clair Inn.
SO MUCH LOVE.
I’ll let the photos explain for themselves.
Kate & Ryan
They aren't wrong when they said, “The mountains are calling.” Kate and Ryan answered, we all hopped on a plane, and then we had the time of our lives.
When Kate and Ryan invited me to join them for their elopement in Colorado, I was so excited. If you know me at all, you'll know that Colorado is one of my favorite places. We’ve all been anticipating this trip for the last 6 months, and to try to describe our adventure is going to be a challenge because there just aren't words.
First, we ventured to Collective Retreats in Wolcott, Colorado where we spend three incredible days and two nights in their tents on the side of a mountain. The mountain air swept us off our feet with the views, the hospitality was impeccable, and the farm to table three-course rehearsal dinner was something we will never forget. Like…seriously, hands down the best food I have ever eaten! This set the tone for how the rest of our time in Colorado was going to be, and it left us saying over and over how this experience was so perfect.
Since we spent thee days in the mountains and a day in Breckenridge, there are a ton of images, but I wanted to share the absolute bliss from the Wedding Day.
I'm not sure what was more comfortable, the beds in the tents at Collective, or the dry mountain air.. because we slept like heaven and then woke up to coffee and breakfast being served. After gathering the wedding wear, Ryan picked Kate a bouquet of wild flowers from camp (hearts are melted), and we trekked the 1/2 mile down to the rental car and left for Breckenridge.
We had all day to enjoy and we did…stopping at a local cigar shop for Ryan, Breckenridge Distillery for a couple of cocktails, and then we proceeded to Blue Lake Trail. Kate ended up getting ready at the distillery, and Ryan literally had his own woodsy dressing room in the pines of the mountain haha.. which ended up being a perfect location for the first look.
We met with our awesome officiate, Phil ( I swear everyone in Colorado is rad as hell), and adventured to Blue Lake where the ceremony would take place. We had the most perfect weather, though in the mountains that can change in a moment. The vows were exchanged, the tears of absolute happiness shed, the smiles and the wind were running through our hair, champagne was popping, a dress ripping. There was foot cutting, waterfall bustling, sun shining ..I don't really know how to describe the bliss we all felt after this.. so I'll let the images take you away.
We ended our super-relaxed, breathtaking day with some bomb tacos and complimentary bubbles and churros.
Every person we ran into was so happy that Kate + Ryan had just gotten married that they too wanted to celebrate.
Salsabil & Usher
These two sweethearts were so beautiful together! We started our day with gorgeous portraits at Kirk In The Hills church and then headed to the Muslim Unity Center in Bloomfield Hills for the ceremony. Salsa and Usher’s wonderful community of friends and family were all excited to see these two unite.
Salsa, who is also a talented model, was the most exquisite subject of our portraits. Her attire was stunning, as so was she in the gorgeous evening light. Enjoy these moments with this lovely couple!
These three and a tree farm! Eleanora is ONE!
Ali & Trevor
I absolutely love making the trip up to Petoskey, one of my favorite cities in Michigan! Stafford’s Hotel Perry is breathtaking, and the sun is always shining and the view is always perfect.
Stafford Weddings + Ali and Trevor were a match made in Michigan!!
Elle & Dave
An early morning elopement on the sands of Port Crescent State Park, Big Foot cake toppers, and a Wes Anderson style of imagery. These sweethearts and their witnesses (Dave’s grandparents) were truly a wonderful experience.
Dave, a long time friend and,Elle, a beauty inside and out, are two of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. They deserve every ounce of love and light in this world.
This was easily one of the best mornings in 2023, so we enjoyed the smiles while getting ready in a cute mid-century airbnb with the first look in the front yard. The warm summer sunshine was peeking in and out of the clouds, the gusty wind the blowing, and every bit of it captured and carried the laughter and happiness. This day is forever imprinted on our hearts and minds.
Andrea & Colby
It’s September, we are at 12 Corners Winery and orchard on the west side of Michigan, and it is the most comfortable 75 degrees on a sunny day…this would literally be a dream in Michigan, and it was.
Andrea + Colby had their first look by the grapevines accompanied by Andrea’s grandmother represented with the pendant in her handmade, wooden flowered bouquet. The ceremony and portraits took place in the apple trees with their closest friends and family. The tent outside was the perfect place for cocktail hour and the reception, with the golden light coming through the rows of grapevines for golden hour portraits. We could not have asked for a more perfect day.
Shelbi & Clayton
The love for this family started with Shelbi’s sister Karli, and I am so so honored to have been invited back with so much love to photograph Shelbi and Clayton.
When they say opposites attract, these two fit the bill…even though they have a bunch of similarities. Shelbi is the more serious one, and Clayton is on the super-playful side. These two laugh a lot with and at each other. You’ll see their personalities come out throughout their wedding day at Weller’s Carriage House, and it is too good.
This day was one of the best! Lots of drinks and laughs, an unexpected cake smash, and the sun peeking out later for minute of sunset photos. This family is so close to my heart!
Taylor & Mike
These two sweethearts hosted their wedding at The Boat House in East Jordan, but we ventured to Harbor Springs for the ceremony and stopped in Petoskey at the sweet little hidden waterfall for portraits and so many laughs. Michigan is full of magic, especially the farther north you go. We really have some gems in the mitten, especially toward the Leelanau peninsula. These two had donuts for the cake cutting and golden hour dances, and ended the evening by running to the docks for the last bit of daylight. It was pure Michigan magic.
The Boathouse on Lake Charleviox is a beautiful private waterfront venue with a classy, modern indoor/outdoor space. They also have a cute airbnb called Gunther’s General Store, which is a general store that has been converted. It is a classic diner style space full of antiques.
